With the 2015 upgrades to the ISO9001 and 14001 standards, and the 2016 alignment of the automotive standard TS16949 (now designated as IATF16949).
Rapid prototyping at H T Brigham adds value for customers
The benefits of 3D printing have been widely reported; fast, low-cost and kind to the environment. This rapid prototyping allows working concepts to be ruled in or out more quickly, speeding up the development process and reducing the project lead time as a whole.
Every single pressed metal component which is produced by HT Brigham is manufactured in line with the customer’s bespoke requirements.
Whether you come to us with a very rough product concept or full technical drawings for a component which you are looking to re-source, we have the presswork expertise necessary to bring full scale production to fruition.
Our engineers will work with you from the presswork design process up. We like to adopt a collaborative approach to project work, developing ideas and reaching a design solution which will maximise functionality and minimise manufacturing costs. Through the design and development phases, we can offer advice regarding the choice of material, design features and manufacturing methods which will achieve the best end result. During this phase, maximising product performance, improving strength, reducing weight and cutting costs will all be front of mind.
Development will then follow to test the design, with options including rapid prototyping and production trials available, before taking the production to full scale.

Metal pressings are manufactured on our extensive range of progression and transfer presses. Both methods are highly effective for the manufacture of complex components in high volume, but progression presses can produce heavier components in thicker gauge material. We will select the most appropriate manufacturing method for your component, in order to achieve the best end result for the lowest possible cost.
Choosing the right material for your pressed component is another hugely important factor. We manufacture from a wide range of metals including stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium and brass in gauges from 0.1mm to 6mm.
Our presswork design team has extensive experience in working with all popular design formats including Autocad, pdf, dxf and tif. Please get in touch to discuss the bespoke specifications of your next project and we will be able to advise the best manufacturing route.
