With the 2015 upgrades to the ISO9001 and 14001 standards, and the 2016 alignment of the automotive standard TS16949 (now designated as IATF16949).
Rapid prototyping at H T Brigham adds value for customers
The benefits of 3D printing have been widely reported; fast, low-cost and kind to the environment. This rapid prototyping allows working concepts to be ruled in or out more quickly, speeding up the development process and reducing the project lead time as a whole.
The pressings manufacturing process involves sheet metal being formed into a specific shape in order to produce the desired component. Material is fed into the press, where a die is used to cut a piece out of the material into the required outline. This is called a blank, which is then manipulated into the component shape.
Our plant and processes are optimised for large scale, close tolerance pressings manufacture, in gauges from 0.10mm up to 6mm. Our press capacity ranges from 20t to 300t, in both high speed and traditional progression and transfer manufacturing. We can produce a diverse range of components – manufacturing pressings in a spectrum of sizes, for a wide variety of market sectors and end user applications. Typical product applications include use within the automotive, construction, electrical and medical markets among others, but the possibilities for end product application are almost endless.
H T Brigham’s focus on lean processes lies at the core of a highly efficient manufacturing operation, where capacity is available for small production runs and the manufacture of pressings into the millions. This extensive press capacity provides the facility for high volume, high speed, continuous supply.
Our pressings are manufactured from a range of materials in coil, including mild steel, stainless, aluminium, copper and brass. Your chosen material is likely to be influenced the product’s final application, but we can help to advise on the suitability of which particular grades will produce the best result. A wide range of post-production processes are also available to suit your needs, including; painting, plating, cleaning and sub-assembly.
Strict adherences to ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 quality systems demonstrates our commitment to manufacturing pressings of the highest quality every time. We have a dedicated quality team which applies best practice procedures and process control measures across the manufacturing system.
